The project aims primarily to target BME (Black & Minority Ethnic) young people from different areas of the city, and to engage them in a programme of workshops. A proven background of community engaged practice is essential and GoMA is keen to hear from individuals with a creative and flexible approach. Previous experience of working with young people and BME communities is preferred. It is anticipated that the project will involve around 35 hours delivery, with an additional 30 hours preparation and development time, resulting in a maximum fee of around £1800. We will be working in partnership with a wide range of agencies across Scotland to provide training, consultancy, advice and support on the impact of masculinity and gender on self management. We will also be delivering a number of seminars and conferences. As part of the development of this project we are recruiting to the following post: SELF MANAGEMENT PROJECT TRAINING AND EVENTS OFFICER: £22 010pa, full time 37 hrs per week. The successful applicant will have experience of training design and delivery, consultancy and advice services, printed and web-based resource development, and/or event planning and delivery.
