As a Support Worker you will be required to work as part of a multi- disciplinary team of staff to create and promote the Service User‚Äôs needs and expectations. You will be expected to support the service users directly with all aspects of their daily living under the guidance of senior support staff. In addition, the Senior Support Worker will have responsibility for overseeing individual shifts and for supporting the Locality/Depute Manager and Practitioner in providing practice based support and supervision to less experienced staff. This will include working directly on shift with staff and providing support in the completion of basic skills training and continuing professional development. You must have a minimum of two years relevant experience and have an appropriate qualification as determined by the SSSC for registration. United We Dance is a 12 week dancing project in Govanhill, Glasgow which aims to attract young people from different cultural backgrounds to participate and enjoy a series of dance workshops. You must be motivated and interested in working with children and young people aged 7+ in an innovative and creative way. You may have experience in youth work, or perhaps consider yourself to be good with young people. You will be required to recruit young people from diverse backgrounds in Govanhill to participate in the dance workshops. You will link the programme with local youth organisations, promote the programme and encourage and support young people and dance tutors during workshops and at the projects final performance. The successful candidate will undergo an Enhance Disclosure check prior to appointment.
